Dr. Mead – Owner and Veterinarian

Outside the clinic, Dr. Mead believes life is best when you’re having fun (duh) and she works to bring that same culture into Pet Dental USA. She’s an avid tennis player in the community (though she’ll admit her dentistry skills are much sharper than her tennis game!) and also hosts the annual Pet Dental USA Pickleball Tournament, which continues to grow year after year. At home, she loves spending time with her life long love, Ryan, their two lively children, Baker and Harley, a herd of goats, two adored dogs, and her labor of love a saltwater fish tank.

Giving back is also central to Dr. Mead’s mission. Under her leadership, Pet Dental USA proudly sponsors numerous events and charities, including the Arizona Animal Welfare League’s Walk to Save Animals and holiday giving programs with the Arizona Department of Child Safety to support children in need.

For Dr. Mead, veterinary dentistry and wellness isn’t just a “job” for her it has been a calling. And at Pet Dental USA, she strives to combine expertise, compassion, and a joyful spirit to create the best possible experience for both pets and their families.

Dr. Gorham – Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Gorham may be small in stature, but she brings big energy, sharp skills, and a warm heart to every patient; much like a Border Terrier small but mighty, endlessly clever, and always up for a challenge. Originally from Colorado, she completed both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees in Illinois before escaping the cold and making her way to sunny Arizona.
After three years in emergency medicine, Dr. Gorham is excited to dive into her true passion: veterinary dentistry. She’s known around the clinic for her empathy, intelligence, and quick wit, often sharing her love of humor through perfectly timed memes. When she’s not transforming smiles, you’ll find her reading, gaming, or hanging out with her three lovable Great Danes, proving that even the most petite people can have a thing for giant dogs.

Erik – Certified Veterinary Technician

Erik is a Certified Veterinary Technician at Pet Dental USA, and he keeps the clinic running smoothly every day. With over 29 years of experience in veterinary medicine (most of it dedicated to dentistry) he brings a wealth of expertise and wisdom to our team. Throughout his career, Erik has had the privilege of working alongside some of the most talented veterinary dental specialists in the country.

Being a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) means Erik has completed formal education in veterinary technology, passed a rigorous national exam, and maintains ongoing continuing education to stay current in the field. This sets him apart from veterinary assistants or technicians without certification, as CVTs are credentialed professionals with a higher level of training.

Despite his decades of experience, Erik proves every day that the saying “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks” doesn’t apply, he continues to learn, grow, and mentor those around him. Known for his calm demeanor and steady leadership, Erik likes to joke that he’s much like a Great Pyrenees—just with a little less hair!

Outside of the clinic, Erik enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife and two children. A proud Michigan native, he’s also an avid University of Michigan football fan (Go Blue!). Living just a short distance from our Gilbert location makes Pet Dental USA feel even more like home.

Fermin – Veterinary Technician

Fermin brings incredible depth to our team—not only with his technical expertise but also with his genuine care, enthusiasm, and charisma. With a personality l as charismatic as an orange tabby, he lights up the clinic with his energy while delivering unmatched attention to detail in patient care. His dedication and skill as a veterinary technician make him an invaluable part of Pet Dental USA. But don’t let his kind and caring demeanor fool you—Fermin is also highly skilled in martial arts and dedicates time to training daily. His discipline and precision in the dojo translate seamlessly into his work, making him both a compassionate caregiver and a meticulous technician.
Having been part of our team for over a year and a half, Fermin has become an essential part of what makes Pet Dental USA special. We’re grateful for his dedication and look forward to many more years of working alongside him!

Karla – Veterinary Technician

Born and raised in Arizona, Karla is stepping into her new role as a Veterinary Technician at Pet Dental USA with a deep love for animals and the meaningful bonds she builds with them and their humans. When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find her hiking, kayaking, off-roading, or camping up north with her boyfriend, family, and best friends. She shares her life with two adorable dogs—Lola the German Shepherd and Penelope the terrier mix, plus two guinea pigs (Phoebe and Concha) and a chameleon named Rango. A fan of horror movies and scenic trails, Karla is adventurous, loyal, and full of heart. If she were a dog, she’d be a Blue Heeler, always ready for action and fiercely devoted to her pack.

Sarah – Veterinary Technician

Sarah is one of our dedicated veterinary technicians here at Pet Dental USA. She is much like the Belgian Malinois, known for being hardworking, intelligent, and task-oriented. Sarah brings energy, focus, and determination to everything she does. Her career in veterinary medicine is extensive, ranging from general wellness care in private practice to managing the demands of high-stress emergency medicine. Always eager to learn and grow, Sarah joined our team to challenge her mind with the specialized skills of veterinary dentistry.

Outside the clinic, Sarah is just as driven. She is currently studying to become an engineer, a path that reflects her love of problem-solving and critical thinking qualities that also make her an exceptional veterinary professional. When she’s not studying, you can often find her camping in her RV and enjoying time outdoors.
Though her family and roots are back in Michigan, we’re grateful to have her here in Arizona as a valued part of the Pet Dental USA family.

Debby – Veterinary Technician

Debby is one of the original employees at our Pet Dental USA Gilbert location and brings incredible charisma, dedication, and a strong work ethic to our team. A lifelong animal lover, Debby didn’t fully step into the veterinary field until after a long and successful career as a flight attendant in the aviation industry. That experience shaped her exceptional people skills, which now shine in her ability to help clients feel comfortable and confident about their pets’ surgical procedures. As a devoted pet owner herself, Debby truly understands that pets are family. She shares her life with many cats and dogs, and family is deeply important to her. When she’s not in the office, you can often find her traveling, hiking, or visiting her parents and sister back in Michigan. Much like a Great Pyrenees, Debby is steady, loyal, and fiercely protective of those in her care. She has a calm, reassuring presence, yet stands strong when it matters most, always advocating for her patients, her clients, and her team. Her dedication and guardianship make her an invaluable part of Pet Dental USA, and we are incredibly grateful to have her as part of our team.

Kaj- Veterinary Assistant  

Kaj has been working in the animal care field for over four years and brings an infectious, bubbly energy to our team every day. Her personality is much like an apple-headed Chihuahua, adorably cute, endlessly enthusiastic, and full of heart. One of our favorite things about Kaj is her stories about her beloved Grandma Elaine, which beautifully reflect the kindness and compassion she shows to everyone around her.

Outside of the clinic, she’s a talented baker who loves sharing her passion for food, especially teaching us about challah bread and family traditions.

At home, Kaj is a devoted dog mom to her two pups, Garlic and Pesto. She works hard to give them “an amazing life” (her words), and that same dedication carries into the care she provides for every patient she meets. We feel so lucky to have Kaj as part of our team.

Courtnee- Kennel Technician

Much like a happy-go-lucky Golden Retriever, Courtnee brings a positive energy that instantly makes people smile. She is known for her great attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine willingness to help wherever she’s needed.
Born and raised in Arizona, Courtnee has aspirations to travel and see the world and bet ya she will do it! She is extremely creative and puts care and intention into everything she does, especially when it comes to our patients. At Pet Dental USA, she plays an important role in preparing patients for a smooth and comfortable transition home following their procedures, ensuring both pets and owners feel supported.

Outside of the clinic, Courtnee enjoys all things beauty, including doing nails and eyelashes as a way to unwind. She’s also a big fan of relaxing with reruns of Gilmore Girls. Family is very important to her, and she loves spending time with her grandparents and extended family here in Arizona.

Lorrie – Lead Office Administrator

Lorrie is the lead administrator at Pet Dental USA in Gilbert, and when we say we couldn’t do it without her, we truly mean it. She is the oil that keeps this large machine running smoothly, ensuring that even our busiest days stay on track while keeping clients and patients happy. A role like Lorrie’s requires immense skill, patience, and empathy—qualities she has truly mastered. Much like a quarter horse, she embodies versatility, speed, agility, and loyalty, making her an indispensable part of our team.
Lorrie is a longtime Gilbert resident but has roots back East, where many of her family members still reside. We are incredibly fortunate to have her dedication, kindness, and leadership guiding our clinic each day.

Sonia – Veterinary Administration

Sonia is one of our newest administrators, and we couldn’t be happier to have her on our team! She has a warm, welcoming presence, always bringing a smile to our faces and making both clients and pets feel at ease. A Mesa resident, Sonia is passionate about helping pet owners navigate their pet’s dental care and is always happy to answer any questions. Whether you need guidance on your pet’s health or assistance setting up an appointment at Pet Dental USA, she’s here to help! Sonia is also family-oriented and loves spending time with her nieces and nephews. Outside of work, she enjoys making memories with her loved ones and embracing all that the local community has to offer.
